My new work schedule has changed a lot lately so our hairstyles have gotten really simple. I bathed my daughter the other night and she asked for curlers put in her hair. I use sponge curlers since I think they are easier to sleep in.
To get big curls I made large parts and wrapped them tightly around the curlers.
When she woke up the next morning I took a blow dryer to make sure all the hair was dry.
Shown below I took one curler out to show the large curls these made.
Take out all of the curlers
She asked for a ribbon headband. Since we all know these don't stay in all day by themselves. I took a small amount of hair just above each ear and singled it out. Then place the ribbon behind that hair. Pull the small amount of hair that was left out across the ribbon and take another small amount of hair on the opposite side of the ribbon and secure with an elastic. (SHOWN BELOW).
Take both sides of the hair and secure together at the base of her head.
I apologize for the lack of posts we have been out of town for the last week. We played as a family all last week in the warm sun at the lake here is one of the hairstyles. As I have mentioned before my daughter hates to have her hair down when its hot.
I started by making 2 french braids up her hair starting from the bottom of her head (as shown below)
Then I took a small amount of hair and pulled it just above her ear (this was to keep her bangs out of her face). I left a small amount of hair just above her hair along the face line. This will be used to cover the elastic. (see picture below.)
Pull all the remaining hair except the small amount of hair along the hair line into a ponytail.
Shown below is the hair left out of the ponytail temporarily.
Take the remaining hair and pull it across the elastic and secure it around the ponytail.

Naomi Campbell lived up to her reputation as a party girl as she celebrated her 40th birthday in some style in the South of France at the weekend.
Even her boyfriend, the Russian Vladimir Doronin described her as 'a wild woman' to the assembled guests at the exclusive Hotel du Cap in Cannes.
And she didn't waste much time proving him right as she necked cocktails before taking to the dance floor with friends Jennifer Lopez and Mary J Blige.
The day began quietly with a lunch in St Tropez's upmarket La Voile Rouge with Dononin, J-Lo and Marc Anthony, after which she squeezed in some shopping.
Then it was back to the Hotel du Cap down the coast in Antibes to organized the party, the highlight of which was a 45-minute set by Fergie and the Black Eyed Peas.
Guests included Topshop boss Sir Philip Green and his daughter Chloe, Eva Herzigova, Sarah Ferguson and Princess Beatrice and Grace Jones.
After dinner, special messages were relayed from P Diddy and the model Tyson Beckford - and then it was time for everybody hit the dancefloor.
Lopez in particular seemed to enjoy herself, hitching up her gold skirt and wheeling aruond with a broad grin on her face, to the obvious delight of husband Anthony.

/EFE) Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez had to spend two hours onboard an airplane on the runway at Moscow's Vnukovo-3 Airport over problems with the luggage of her musician husband Marc Anthony.
The incident occurred Sunday night. The singer couple was unable to get off the plane for two hours after landing because customs detected a dagger in Anthony's suitcase.
The couple arrived in Moscow along with model Naomi Campbell and her Russian fiance Vladimir Doronin in Campbell's private aircraft to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Naomi and her future husband, as good hosts, did not hesitate to stay with their friends and keep them company while customs agents looked through the luggage.
The couples went their separate ways in the wee hours - Campbell and Doronin to their downtown apartment, while the wedded songsters checked in at the Ritz, online daily Life News said.
'They were taken in a Rolls-Royce, as Jennifer had personally ordered,' one of the entertainers' bodyguards said.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are among the guests invited to a charity gala organised by Campbell and Daria Zhukova, wife of Russian magnate Roman Abramovich, coinciding with the top model's birthday.
Penelope Cruz and Leonardo DiCaprio also attended the gala.
